For individuals:
What’s next for YOU?
It’s figuring out what you want to carry with you, and who you need around you to help.
I work one-to-one with professionals who are navigating growth, transition, leadership, or simply wondering what comes next.
Mentorvention Coaching draws on two of my signature frameworks to help you better understand where you’ve been, where you’re going, and the relationships that can help you get there.
You Own Your Origin Story
Your experiences have shaped how you see yourself, your work, and what you believe is possible.
You Own Your Origin Story (YOYOS) helps you examine those experiences. Not simply to tell a better story about yourself, but to recognize the strengths, lessons, relationships, and possibilities already inside it.
INFUSE
Find the perspectives you need.
No mentor, coach, teacher, or trainer has every answer you need.
INFUSE helps you look beyond the search for one perfect mentor and become more intentional about building a network of people who can offer different perspectives, experiences, challenges, and support.
Instead of asking only:
“Who should be my mentor?”
we begin asking:
“Whose perspective is missing?”
The goal is agency.
I don’t want you to become dependent on someone else.
I want you to leave with a clearer understanding of your own story, a stronger sense of what you need next, and a better ability to recognize and build the developmental relationships that can help you get there.
For Organizations:
Workshops & Speaking
The best sessions don’t end when the speaker leaves the room.
They create conversations that continue afterward.
I design interactive workshops and presentations that challenge familiar assumptions about mentoring and help participants see their own experiences, relationships, and opportunities differently.
Sessions can be adapted for professional associations, companies, universities, leadership programs, conferences, and mentoring initiatives.
More conversation. Less lecture.
My work is grounded in research, but the experience is designed around participation.
Depending on the audience and setting, sessions may include individual reflection, small-group conversation, storytelling, practical exercises, and tools participants can continue using after the session ends.
Workshops and presentations can be adapted to your audience, goals, and available time.
What would work for your group?
You don’t need to choose a program before we talk.
Tell me about your people, what you’re trying to accomplish, and the conversation you’d like them to be having when the session is over.
We’ll start there.
Signature Topics
Whose Perspective Is Missing?: Building Your Mentoring Network with INFUSE
Most of us have been taught to look for a mentor. INFUSE starts somewhere different.
Participants examine the developmental relationships already around them, discover where their networks may be limited, and identify perspectives they may be missing.
They leave with a practical way to think more intentionally about who can help them grow, and whom they might help in return.
Turn Experience into Confidence, Connection, and Leadership: You Own Your Origin Story
Everyone has an origin story. Few of us stop to examine what ours has taught us.
YOYOS helps participants identify the experiences, people, challenges, and turning points that have shaped them, and discover how those stories can become sources of confidence, connection, and leadership.
This isn’t about creating a polished personal brand.
It’s about understanding the story you’re already living.
When Mentoring Goes Wrong: Conquer the Mentoring Hydra
Not every mentoring relationship helps us grow.
Using the Mentoring Hydra, participants explore the ways mentoring relationships can become missing, mismatched, or even malignant, and learn to recognize problems before a disappointing mentoring experience becomes a damaging one.
Mentoring for Organizations
A mentoring program is more than a matching program.
Pairing mentors and mentees can be valuable.
But making the match is only the beginning.
I work with organizations that want to create mentoring experiences that go beyond putting two names together, experiences that help people build developmental relationships, seek diverse perspectives, take greater ownership of their growth, and contribute to the growth of others.
Start with the purpose, not the program.
Before deciding who should be matched, how often they should meet, or what platform to use, I encourage organizations to step back.
What do you want mentoring to accomplish?
What do your people actually need?
What relationships already exist?
Whose perspectives are missing?
And what would make mentoring valuable enough that people choose to participate… rather than simply comply?
Those questions shape what comes next.
Beyond one-to-one mentoring.
Traditional mentoring pairs can be powerful. They don’t have to be the whole program.
Mentorvention helps organizations explore a broader ecosystem of developmental relationships—one-to-one mentoring alongside peer mentoring, group experiences, mentoring networks, facilitated conversations, and opportunities for people to learn from perspectives they might not encounter otherwise.
The right model depends on your people and your purpose.
How I can help.
Our work might include:
- clarifying the purpose and goals of your mentoring initiative
- assessing an existing mentoring program
- designing mentoring experiences beyond traditional matching
- preparing mentors and mentees for stronger relationships
- using INFUSE to help participants build broader mentoring networks
- incorporating workshops, facilitated conversations, or YOYOS experiences
- creating tools and resources participants can continue using on their own
The goal isn’t to make your organization dependent on any outside consultant.
It’s to help you create a mentoring culture your people can sustain.
Let’s build something that fits.
I don’t begin with an off-the-shelf mentoring program.
I begin by listening.
If you’re creating a mentoring initiative, rethinking an existing one, or simply wondering what mentoring could look like in your organization, let’s have a conversation.
