Congrats to the Super Bowl winners, the Philadelphia Eagles!
Here’s some fun sports trivia: Did you know that while KC’s star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, was drafted in the first round of the NFL draft, Philadelphia’s Jalen Hurts had to wait until deep in the second round.
My fellow Bears fans, just wait… Caleb (first pick overall last year) will show us that he is indeed a generational talent.
Back to Jalen Hurts. The Eagles took a chance on him and their payoff is huge. He looked sooo good.
But he’s still six Super Bowl rings behind Tom Brady.
Yes, it’s my annual Super Bowl tribute to my fellow Wolverine.
Tom Brady. No matter what you think of him or what you think of football, he’s still generally regarded as the best ever.
Brady was the 199th overall pick in his college draft. That means he was told at least 5 times by every team in the NFL that they didn’t think he could start for them.
What does this have to do with you and me?
Don’t give up.
Don’t worry about when you’re selected. As long as you’re given a chance. Then it’s up to you. Prove the doubters wrong and celebrate with those who believe in you.
