From Me to You (and to Me, too): Making the Most of It
It’s easy to give advice. I think I find it easy to take advice too.
But for me to heed the words that I say to others? Not so easy.
So this one is for both of us.
Let’s accept that there’s a good reason that they are asking you to spend hours and hours in all different kinds of retreats, kick-offs, orientations, workshops, and professional development sessions.
It still counts as work, and in this era of WFH and Zoom and being scattered all over the place, it’s kind of cool to be shoulder and shoulder with the people who are on your side, striving for the same cause. And even if it’s still a virtual meeting, you’re all together!
Of course, this makes it even more important that the people calling all of us together make it worth our time and attention.
Whether you are being called in or doing the calling, make sure you are light, bright, and present.
You can do it. You’ll be glad you did.
(And so will I!)
