I’ve been thinking about, and sharing, this quote by legendary psychiatrist Carl Jung:

“The world will ask you who you are, and if you don’t know, the world will tell you.”

It’s not easy to establish an identity. Sometimes we work at it all our lives, and sometimes it just kind of happens organically.

The key, as I interpret it from the quote, is to stay in control. Because, as Jung writes, if we don’t define who we are, someone else will.

And it might not fit well. And it might be hard to change.

So I looked for a picture of how I see myself. I have a couple of nice headshots to choose from, but I thought instead I’d face front and show you what I look like right now.

This is who I am.

Who I am might change… evolve, I hope… but it’s still up to me.
