Worth It Thursday v2: You are Professionally Developing

We’re getting toward the end of the week and to help us make it to the weekend, I’d like to share some more reasons why you are worth whatever you are being paid (or think you should be paid) and more.

Here’s another reason why you are worth your reward (and please help me add to this list!):

You are better at what you do than you were before. Thanks to experience and professional development opportunities (like training sessions, conferences, online courses and programs), you bring more skills and wisdom to your work than the person they hired.

You know this. Your employer should know this too. And if you haven’t found or taken advantage of such programs…what are you waiting for? Even if you have to pay for it yourself, it will be worth it in the long run.

Take notes, my friend. If you’re giving more, you should be getting more in return.
