Worth It Thursday: Are you even in the right place?

We’re getting toward the end of the week and to help us make it to the weekend, I’d like to share some reasons why you are worth whatever you are being paid (or think you should be paid) and more.

Here’s why you are worth your reward (and please help me add to this list!):

It could be that you’re not at the right place. And by “the right place,” I actually mean the right people at the right time. 

It’s possible that you are not talking to or working with the right group or audience. Whether we’re talking about bosses, coworkers, or clients, find people who appreciate you. Who will help you grow.

Sometimes, finding the right people, the right place, and the right time can even mean a step back in terms of pay and position.

That can sting or be hard to swallow… just like medicine that can help cure a disease.

Even if it means changing lanes or briefly backing up, play the long game with your career.

Because you know that you are worth all that and more.
