Friday the 13th
On Friday the 13th, I’m writing about luck. Good luck.
There are a couple of quotes about luck that I really appreciate:
“Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.” (Thomas Edison)
“I’m a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work, the more I have of it.“ (Thomas Jefferson)
“Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity.” (Seneca)
I do believe that a little more hard work can lead to a little more good luck.
But we don’t all have access to the same opportunities or even to the same tools for preparation for those opportunities.
So today, think about how lucky you are… or how lucky you have made yourself to be through your own preparation and opportunity.
And be a mensch. Help provide that kind of opportunity to someone who might not have the same kind of access that you do.
What do you think?
